If you have a Facebook account, chances are you came across content from outstanding spoken word artist, Prince Ea. Filmmaker, artist and activist he has become more than an Internet sensation. Through his poetry and powerful videos he has reached the souls and awakened the mind of millions of people. Aside from accumulating over 1 billion views on Facebook alone, he has been featured on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, the Queen Latifa show, and The Huffington Post amongst others.

As a father, I have been profoundly touched by Prince Ea’s art (and heart). It made me question my behavior and it inspired me to be a better parent.

Without further ado here are my 5 favorite Prince Ea videos that I believe every parent should watch:

1) Dear Future Generations: Sorry

In this video Prince Ea apologizes to future generations. This piece is heartbreaking and eye opening on climate change.

2) Why I Think This World Should End

In this video, Prince Ea paints an unapologetic state of modern society.

3)Working to Live or Living to Work?

If you are a working parent, this video will make you cringe. In this beautiful piece, Prince Ea will make you self reflect on your behavior regarding work and time off. You will think about it twice when not taking your well-deserved time off.

4) Can we Auto-Correct Humanity?

How addicted are you to your cell phone? On this video, Prince Ea will make you self reflect on your behavior regarding technology and social networks as well as your children’s.

5) I Just Sued the School System

I had to save the best one for last. In this video, Prince Ea brilliantly breaks down the embarrassing obsolescence of the school system piece by piece. One of my all-time favorites.

I truly hope these videos change your perspective on life and parenting. Please share this article with parents that need to see it!
